So, Round 6 is now in the bag, and what a race it was, if a bit wanting in the number of racers involved. But, the racing that did happen was INTENSE. Epic battles occurred between mackleroy45 and RoboRedMdn1te as well as between IXII Wrath IIXI, (that's me) and Corey CC97, aka Silent Bob. I think we all agree you should just change your gamer tag to Silent Bob.

The next race is 20 Laps of Suzuka, yes only 20, figured its a longer track, so we'd cut back the number of laps. If you guys want 24, just say so. Round Seven goes down September 14th at 9PM EST. Be there or be... whatever it is you are on a Sunday evening.

Sure is. I actually built one with the intent of racing it at Laguna Seca a few weeks ago, but i missed the race on account of me being extremely drunk due to birthday celebrations. The 350Z is also legal.

Nah. I tried the Z's and they just don't handle the way I like. The Subie lacks the straight-line punch of some of the other cars, but it handles so well I can be super consistent with it, which I feel is more important for long races.

BTW, what sort of lap times are competitive for this class at Suzuka? I no longer have space to set up my wheel, so I'm having to learn to use a controller again to drive. I'm getting consistent low 2:06's and high 2:05's.

no clue. I haven't been online since the last race. But the fastest are usually three to five seconds a lap faster than me.

So, I tried out about 5 other cars, such as the ZR1, 458, Esperante, M3 GT2, and the Jag RSR, and while, out of the bunch, I could get into the low 2:03's with the M3, I couldn't do it consistently. With some adjustments to the Gallardo, I'm able to get into the mid 2:03's fairly consistently, so looks like I'll be sticking with that. It's just so much easier for me to drive. With my driving style, the Lambo is just point-and-shoot, lol.
